Name GOBY HIBERNATES IN THE ICE

Breef content: The Perccottus glenii (goby), inhabiting the Amur river, do not hibernate in the bottom silt, they spend winter in the cavities in the ice. The researchers from Moscow University (Biological Faculty) have come to learn about this phenomenon from the fishers of the town of Belogorsk, Amur region, who observed this fish species' behavior in a small lake.

Name THE OZONE HOLE STUDY ON BOARD AN AIRPLANE
Breef content: A joint Russian-Italian expedition on board of a high-altitude airplane has found out that the ozone hole above Antarctic increased by 1.5 times. The study has been accomplished in the framework of the APE-GAIA program with the support of the Space Agency of Italy (ASI) and the National Program of Italy for Exploration of Antarctic (PRNA).

Breef content: Konstantin Rogachev and his co-workers from the Pacific Institute of Oceanology have been studying oceanic eddies for about ten years. They have found that the size and velocity of eddies increased within the last decade. This causes significant changes in the ocean. Name STONE WARRIORS FOUND IN THE CASPIAN STEPPE
Breef content: For thousands of years the near-Caspian-Sea steppe sheltered nomadic cattle-breeders. Centuries passed on, peoples replaced each other, but each of them left burial mounds there.
